Looking for Behaviour & Training Support?

You're in the right place!

We offer behaviour and training support tailored for you and your horse

If you’ve been struggling with unwanted behaviour, difficulty handling or managing your horse, we can help. Through our 360 degree approach to behaviour and training, we take a thorough look at all aspects of your horse’s life, before deciding on the best route.

So whether you’re struggling with leading and groundwork skills, navigating a battle of wills in training or feeling bogged down by conflicting advice, be sure to know you’re not alone.

Many horse owners feel lost when it comes to developing a strong foundation with their horse, especially when it comes to unpicking developed issues. Without the right guidance, it’s easy to get stuck in a cycle of frustration and miscommunication. When horses and humans don’t agree, training and management can become more like a fight rather than a calm, productive space.

Perhaps you feel like you’ve tried everything and nothing’s worked?

This is something we hear a lot.

Maybe you’re worried that what you’re doing isn’t working – or worse, might be making things harder?

This is why we developed the CENTRIC Framework - our custom approach to re-establishing the firm foundations of the horse-human relationship.

We poured everything we know into creating a framework that develops clear communication, a deeper bond, positive interactions and alleviates stress (on both sides).

The CENTRIC Framework stands at the heart of what we do.

Sometimes it’s difficult to separate the fields of training and behaviour modification, because horses are complex beings with intricate needs. That’s why at Why Do Horses, we put everything on the table, rather than limiting what we do according to the route we take. In all honesty, sometimes you need a bit of this and a bit of that to resolve a problem or tackle a challenge… and we get that!

However, we also know that our approach needs to be ethical, transparent and evidence-based. Next Gen Horsemanship is the name we give to our leading-edge, boundary-pushing approach to horse management and training. It’s not a “yet another training method” - it’s our all encompassing approach to living life with horses.

So whether we’re talking enrichment, training or husbandry care, you can be sure that we’ve encompassed the best of what behaviour science has to offer, intertwining it with our ethical, yet down-to-earth approach.
